  when i surf on this discussion board i feel a lot of anger.

  this is totally understandable because a lot of us suffered or still are suffering from their association with the watchtower society.

  some of us are victims of child abuse.

  Thats true. The Catholics have learnt by bitter experience. Now its time for the Watchtower to act wise and quit being so stubborn. Like I said before I think they have still a long way to go.

  I too understand what you are saying, and I dont totally disagree! Sorry that I created the impression that there is no room for anger. Anger is a natural emotion. Its necessary to give anger its place. I said dont let anger rule your view on reality; I didnt say dont let you ever be angry!

  When I surf on this Discussion board I feel a lot of anger. This is totally understandable because a lot of us suffered or still are suffering from their association with the Watchtower Society. Some of us are victims of child abuse. A lot of us are the victims of shunning. But (and I hope I dont sound to much like a teacher) dont let anger rule your view on reality!
  
  Some of us feel rejoiced when the Watchtower Society is attacked in newspapers and television programs: 1-0 for us!. They hope that the last days of the Watchtower Society have finally come. But how many of us consider it a disaster that the Roman Catholic Church is still live and kicking? The history of the Catholic Church is much darker and filled with intrigues and genocide than the history of the Watchtower Society. Despite this blemished history, most of us dont see the Catholc Church as one of the axes of evil because we are not emotionally involved with its dealings.
  
  When the media shows how the Organization deals with sexual child-abuse we have to be happy because this media attention can be of great benefit for the victims. We don't have to be happy because it harms the reputation of the Watchtower Society. It is not necessary that the Watchtower Society crumbles and finally disappears, it is necessary that the Watchtower Society changes some very important issues. And I think we have a long way to go to achieve these goals.
  
  We can continue our struggle for more freedom within the Organization -a healthy policy regarding blood and sexual abuse and a humane association with Disfellowshipped ones- without venting our rage on the Society. If we approach all these issues on a balanced manner, doubting Witnesses will see that our intentions are good and that we arent stereotype apostates.
  
  Just my thoughts based on my own experiences

  U.S. War with Iraq

  i just wanted to get some opinions on this matter from everyone.

  support here in the states is pretty solid but very weak in europe.

  i will make my prediction (ie you know) that we will be having a little sand party within a year.

  In the Netherlands we dont like Sadam either. But there is no general support for Dessert Storm II. It is very doubtful the Al Quaida network has any connection with Iraq (Osama offered even his help to fight Sadam when Kuwait was attacked. This offer was refused by the Saudi Government).
  
  We have more admiration for Colin Powel and other moderate politicians who dont act on impulse alone.

  I think its very dangerous when Iraq will be attacked. Iraq and armed groups in Libanon will attack Israel (who will not hesitate to strike back like they did in the early 90ties) and the Arabian/Islamic countries (with maybe the exception of Kuwait and NATO partner Turkey) will definitely not support the US this time.

  This book review has critique on the book written by ex-JW Bergman. On my site I try to be as objectice as possible, that's why I also published this book review that is crittical toward an ex-JW writter. I e-mailed JW united with the remark that Richard Singelenberg has written more articles about Jehovah's Witnesses like The Blood Transfusion Taboo of Jehovah's Witnesses and It separated the wheat from the chaff about 1975.

  due to a technical problem caused by my hosting provider the site wasn't accessible for six hours.

  now it's up and running again.. .

  personally, i do not believe god ever has or ever will exist.

  i have my reasons -- i guess i could be considered an agnostic, rather than an athiest.

  i was curious to see what the larger part of the former borg community believed, now looking from the outside in, rather than the opposite.

  What pisses you off about elders wives?

  .

  the elders wife that really pisses me off, is the one that would boastfully announce that jehovah had provided her husband with a part-time teaching job, emphasising that his employment was "on the line" each year....but thanks to jehovah,(in other words) we are so fucking loyal and do many hours in field service and things that nobody could possibly know about ( but i'm letting you know indirectly) so my husband has an income to assist us in our pioneer service!
